Connect each marketplace with its own Mirakl API key, then work from one view that can show all marketplaces together or one at a time. PriceSynergy does this for B&Q, Tesco, The Range and Argos: one dashboard, competitor list, task list and Day Book, with each marketplace's own commission behind every margin and price.
Key takeaways
- The same Mirakl mechanics apply everywhere, but commission, rivals and prices differ by marketplace.
- A floor or price copied from one marketplace to another can be wrong, because break-even depends on commission.
- One view across marketplaces shows which one drives sales and margin, and where the same rival hurts you twice.
- Every PriceSynergy plan includes one marketplace, and you can add more as you grow.
Why is selling on several Mirakl marketplaces harder than selling on one?
B&Q, Tesco, The Range and Argos all run on Mirakl, so the mechanics are the same: one product page, many sellers, and the PayBox to the cheapest live offer. That makes adding a second marketplace look easy. In practice, the work multiplies:
- Four seller portals, each with its own catalogue, offers and orders.
- Different commission. Each marketplace sets its own rates, by category or by contract, so the same product has a different break-even on each.
- Different competition. A rival who holds the PayBox on B&Q may not sell the product on Tesco at all, and newer marketplaces like Tesco and Argos are still adding sellers.
- Different reports. Sales and margin live in separate places, so nobody sees the total until someone builds it by hand.
What goes wrong when each marketplace is managed separately?
The usual result is one spreadsheet per marketplace. Prices get copied across without adjusting for commission, so a product can sell at a loss on one marketplace while it's healthy on another. A seller undercutting you on several marketplaces looks like several small problems instead of one big one. Time goes to the marketplace you check most often, not the one with the most profit at stake.
Illustrative figures, ignoring VAT and delivery. A product costs you £40 and sells at £55 on two marketplaces. At 15% commission you make £6.75 a sale. At 25% commission you make £1.25. A floor of cost plus 10% (£44) covers you on neither: break-even is about £47.06 at 15% and £53.33 at 25%.
How does PriceSynergy bring several marketplaces together?
You connect each marketplace with your shop's Mirakl API key from its seller portal. Once you sell on more than one, a marketplace picker appears in the top bar. Choose All marketplaces or a single one, and the dashboard, products, brands, categories, competitors, pricing, tasks, monitoring and the Day Book all follow that choice. Each person's choice is remembered for them.
| What you do | Across all marketplaces | On one marketplace |
|---|---|---|
| See where you're losing sales | Every product where a rival holds the PayBox, ranked by revenue at stake | The same list for that marketplace only |
| Check daily trading | Total sales, profit and margin, with a summary for each marketplace | That marketplace's orders and margin |
| Know your rivals | Every competitor on your products, with threat scores | Who you face on that marketplace |
| Work through tasks | One task list for the whole team | Tasks for that marketplace |
A product's own page shows every marketplace you sell it on, with a tab for each offer, so you see the same product and its rivals side by side.
How does PriceSynergy handle different commission on each marketplace?
PriceSynergy reads the commission on every order line from Mirakl, so margin in the Day Book is after each marketplace's own cut. Break-even uses each marketplace category's commission rate, and min prices set from cost show any floor below break-even in red before you save. Category pages show revenue, commission and margin for each marketplace category, so you can see where one marketplace is costing you more than another.
Every suggested price is checked against that offer's own min, max and break-even. A price that's safe on B&Q is never assumed to be safe on Tesco. See margin-safe pricing.
What should you check on each marketplace every week?
- PayBox position. How many of your best sellers you hold the PayBox on, by marketplace.
- New rivals. Sellers who joined your products this week, especially on Tesco and Argos.
- Margin after commission. Which marketplace's margin is moving, and on which categories.
- Products selling at a loss. Usually a cost change or a floor copied from another marketplace.
- Range gaps. Products rivals list on one marketplace that you sell elsewhere but haven't listed there.
How do you add another marketplace to PriceSynergy?
Every plan includes one marketplace. On Growth and Scale you can add more, and Enterprise covers many marketplaces on custom terms. The price for each extra marketplace is on the plans page. To connect it, copy the shop ID and API key (and, for Tesco and Argos, the API address) from that marketplace's seller portal and paste them into PriceSynergy. The first scans start as soon as the shop is live.
PriceSynergy supports B&Q, Tesco, The Range and Argos today, with Debenhams, Superdrug and Decathlon coming soon.
Questions sellers ask
Can I see all my Mirakl marketplaces in one dashboard?
Yes. Once you sell on more than one, the marketplace picker lets you view all marketplaces together or one at a time, across the dashboard, products, competitors, tasks and the Day Book.
Does each marketplace need its own API key?
Yes. Each marketplace has its own Mirakl seller portal and API key. You connect each one separately in PriceSynergy.
Is margin calculated with each marketplace's own commission?
Yes. Commission is read from each order line, and break-even uses each marketplace category's commission rate.
Can I add a marketplace on the Starter plan?
Starter covers one marketplace. To add more, move to Growth or Scale. See the plans page.
